Reid has always appeared much different than the other Sons, maybe it was because he wanted to stand out in the group in some way. Who knows other than himself. Years at Spenser had controlled his attire during school hours with the uniform from hell, but now he was free to dress as he wanted. Jeans, tee shirts, hoodies, fingerless gloves were all mainstays in his wardrobe

Personality & Attitude:

Reid was born with the "I don't give a crap" attitude that he is known for today. He does care about others, but they have to fall within a certain realm, family, The Sons and a few close friends are about it. Cocky, sarcastic, hot-tempered, rebellious and somewhat charming are in his arsenal of talents. Most of his pick up lines are blown off by any girl with any wits about her, but then again he's not usually looking for the bookish type... though he has been known to change his tastes now and then.

Loyal to the end to his brothers the Sons, but that doesn't mean that they always get along. He's a Garwin, it's in his blood to want what another has. Caleb usually has what he wants, even if it's only a secret desire. Life was cruel like that, or that's how he feels about certain situations. Life goes on and there is always another party in the works.

Background & History:

What doesn't a Garwin know about their family heritage: Orville H. Garwin and his revolver, Randolph Garwin and his work during WWII or even Bernard Garwin, Reid's Grandfather and his escapade in Las Vegas? These were all young Master Garwin's role models. Reid Joseph Hutchins Garwin was born on Friday, June 9, 1989 on a hot summer's night to Joseph and Meredith Garwin. He's always caused his parents grief in one way or another, his mother it started with the twenty-three hours of labor that he put her through, his father it was crashing the man's beloved Porsche into one of the trees of the American chestnut lined driveway of the family estate. Of course, all accounts were unintentional. How could a baby be held to blame for the length of time of his delivery, or even a twelve year old who thought he was helping out by backing the car out of the garage for his father? Well, not everything Reid touched turned to gold, but that didn't mean he didn't try.

The day he met the other Sons, he knew he was with friends that would last a lifetime. He felt complete with his brothers, even though his parents were caring and doting at times, they couldn't fill the void that was felt by being an only child. His childhood was eventfully but only by his adolescent hijinks, finding out of the Power brought on new fun and more turmoil for his parents. Fire insurance was necessary for any family with a learning witch; an energy ball had gotten away from him while he was practicing in the barn. Needless to say, a fifteen year old Reid was found staring in horror at the charred rubble that remained. Gorman helped with his concentration, as did his other brothers.

Spenser Academy was the boy's realm and he loved nearly every moment that he was there and not in class. He was grant freedoms that he did not have a home, but it was more than that. Four years he had a swarm of people around him his boys constantly. Now at Harvard, things weren't as they were. He was no longer a big fish in a small pond; he was a tiny fish in the sea. With his eyes on the future, he was ready to carve out his place in history.
