Guidelines for those with a share of The Power...
All witches have the following abilities; the degree is established through practice.
For clarification:
Teleport/teleporting: This is jumping, traveling, Apparition
Most spells do not need anything more than thought.
The power is within the witch, the eyes are only the outward showing of this. Effecting a witches eyes will not effect ones casting ability past distracting.
- Cannot teleport without having a visual off the place; you can use your guest's thoughts if the witch had not personally seen the place. Photographs can also work (think of the movie Jumper). With teleportation, there is a tiny popping sound with leaving and entering, most humans do not notice this. One can teleport a number of things with them, but must be in contact with people or items.
- Change weather within reason. Example is how Mr. Parry pulled together a storm to cover Pogue's ascension.
- Psychogenesis (Telekinesis for long range) is one of the first spells a witch understands and is very simple to move a small thing a short distance. With this also comes the ability of bio kinesis, mostly caused by emotions.
- Telepathy can be honed, but is more of an awareness of an instance that full information. Such as Caleb, Pogue, Reid, Tyler and Chase knowing that another used. Telepathy is only with those in ones coven/covenant. (Possible to include member of family, but only the witch can feel, humans just broadcast, will explain if needed)
- Levitation is a basic level spell that with practice can sustain considerable heights, also can be used as "air brakes" when falling/jumping.
- Invisibility... does this really need to be explained? Chase in the showers at Spenser... hello?
- Wards are security for witches. Simple enough to do, but nearly impossible to break without the owner knowing, and being injured. Wards can be cast over homes, properties, books, one's mind, etc.
-Willing of ones power is essentially a big fat no-no, but it happens. If a witch knows that they are going to be killed they can will their power to another, but it has to be stated in the thread at least in thought. If a witch is killed prior to willing away their share, it (either dies with them or is divided among the coven/covenant). Only a few witches have had powers willed to them, Caleb via his father, Falco via Mylie, Lani via her father. Chase has been rumored to have the willed powers of a few witches, including his father. (need to pinpoint Chase's power)
A witch's spouse:
When a woman or man is bonded to their witch spouse, they are conscripted into that coven/covenant of silence. Depending on the coven/covenant, wards can be cast on them. Each coven/covenant has the right to set their rules on this in their coven thread past the conscription of the spouse.
