Appearance:
Eli looks like your average college kid, his hair is usually a little messy and his clothes are rumpled 90% of the time. If needed to though he cleans up well. When not in his required uniforms he can be found in a pair of jeans that he probably hasn't washed in weeks. A little gross, but very comfortable.
Personality & Attitude:
Quick wit, fast tongued, ready with a joke and eager to hold up his family name, that's Elias in a nutshell. He can pull off the shy/wallflower type, but that only lasts for so long, unless he's tracking someone. He is an average student, but rarely is he bested in street smarts. Though he has graduate through the Vatican, like the rest of the younger Templars, he is often used in missions that need to infiltrate high schools.
Likes:
A good joke, Long walks on the beach with that special girl, Video Games, The smell of cookies baking, Family History, Girls, The Yankees, Training, and Serving the Cause.
Dislikes:
Any form of Witchcraft, Stupidity, A bad joke, Excessively longwinded people, Greed and Disloyalty
Relatives & Family:
Father- Hugh de Payens XVIII
Mother- Marie-Évelyne (Lorraine) de Payens
Brother- Hugh de Payens XIX (4 years Eli's senior)
Background & History:
Elias is from a very long line of Templars. His great, great, great,...grandfather was Hughes de Payens, the first Grand Master of the Knights Templar. In the Payens family it has been regulated through the generations that the first son will be a Templar, in Elias stem of the massive tree it was Hugh the XIX. The mandate doesn't discourage anyone other's in the family to be a Templar, so Elias took it upon himself to follow in the footsteps of his older brother and his forefathers before him.
Hugh the XVII and Marie-Évelyne stayed in Troyes like their predecessors. Both of their sons were born there and Elias enjoyed his simple French upbringing. When Elias was five Hugh XVII was sent on a mission in New York and the family joined him. The tradition in the Payens family is that the first son goes into training at the Vatican when he is thirteen years of age. Elias remembers the day that his brother left for Rome, he was nine and didn't totally understand why Hugh was leaving, his young mind thought his brother was being sent away. His father and mother sat him down and tried to explain things to him the best they could. From that day on Elias' brain was a sponge for any information on the Knights Templar.
While in New York, he enjoyed the cultural melting pot around him. Where else in the world could there be so many people of so many different races in one place, maybe London. Only time will tell how well this fast-talking Templar Legacy does in Ipswich.

Elias was a little use to be awake during the night and was still adjusting to the schedule that a proper high school student should keep. Yawned again as he looked in the mirror at himself. He shook his head at his appearance and grabbed his toothbrush. He needed to get his butt in gear or he would be late for his first class. He applied the toothpaste, wet the brush and commenced the routine. He figured he would shave off a few minutes if he did a few things at the same time and head out of the bathroom to his closet. I hate wearing ties. He thought as he brushed his teeth and laid out his new uniform on the bed. It still had the plastic drycleaners bag hanging over it. He held his brush in his teeth as he ripped the plastic off. "At least it's clean." He said to himself with a hint of a shrug. Wading up the plastic, he continued brushing and walked over to the trashcan under his desk. He discarded the plastic and made his way back into the bathroom. Spit, rinse and wipe. He looked in the mirror again, he still looked tired and then he wondered if anyone would ask him about the nearly healed cut on his cheek. He leaned closer to the mirror and got a better look at it. It came from catching a witch by surprise in Karachi and getting quickly slammed into the side of the building. Luckily the bruising had been gone for a few weeks. He was lucky that his orbital bone didn't get shattered, note to self: use hands to stop, not face. "My cat scratched me before I left." He cleared his throat and practiced giving his reason. He gave himself a nod and ran a comb through his hair. That's good enough, not trying to impress anyone, just trying to blend in. He thought as he flipped off the light switch and went to get dressed.
He made short order of dressing, but still grumbled to himself about the tie as he tossed his lounge pants that he had slept in into the hamper. "I'm just any other Spenser student. I transferred in at the start of the second semester from Illyria, a private school in New York. I had a few issues with a professor and was asked to attend another school. Yeah that'll work." He practiced his reasons for being here and was happy enough with it. He didn't think that too many of these students would question him too much, at least he hoped. He checked his wallet for his Student ID and tucked it into his back pocket. He staked his books and notebooks and put them in his bag and checked to make sure that he had a few pencils and pens. He went to head out for class, but he had forgotten something. Well, his keys and his gloves, he had never forgotten them before today. He shook his head and opened the top drawer of his desk. He pulled out a pair of white gloves with a red cross embellished upon each of them. "Not good Eli." He scolded himself as he folded them over and tucked them into his other back pocket. He looked over the room and walked back to the door. "I'm just another student." He said to reassure himself and then headed off to his first class.
