First of all, each of your covens can have its own name, but you must also be sure to stay away from a name that is too similar to that of the Sons of Ipswich, though Chase may lay claim as well since his family was a part of the original group.
It is fine to say that you are a Witch from Ipswich, but you are NOT a part of that coven and not every single witch can be from Ipswich. There are a million other places that a witch could have come from, so don't feel the need to be from Ipswich. And it is also possible to be a Witch and not in a coven at all. Do not be afraid to be a solitary Witch, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
A sign-up thread has been created for you to either join a coven or create one. If you choose to sign up for a coven that is already been created, then I would suggest that you contact the head of the coven and ask if you can join. And if you see a coven from the same town as you, but you wish to still be in your own coven, that is completely fine; it is possible to have more than one coven from the same place.
Just keep in mind that the same rules apply to your coven that applies to the Sons of Ipswich (as per the movie). You can/will get addicted to your powers and it will age you. No exceptions. Our rules deviate a little from the movie allowing female witches, BUT we are sticking to the first born of a witch inherits the traits if you do not set up a coven/covenant. For solitary witches, coven/covenants can set up their own guidelines to how the share of the power is divided up. The history should be thoroughly explained in your background area of your bio. There is the possibility of exceptions for solitary, contact a Staff Member if you have a question.
